I previously attended the College of the Albemarle where I earned an associate in science degree. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, with a minor in leadership studies. I have always enjoyed science (particularly biology) since the 7th grade, when I begged my parents to get me a microscope that I saw in a yard sale. After my bachelor's degree,  I plan to enroll in the molecular biology and biotechnology master's degree program at ECU and will ultimately pursue employment in research.  

I am a first-year biology and finance major on a pre-dental track, building my resume to have a strong application for dental school. This research experience allows me to investigate one of my strong interests within the biology field (Bioenergetics).
