Laboratory Services Summary

Continental Analytical Services, Inc. is a recognized leader in providing explosives and nitroaromatics testing services to industrial clients, consultants, bioremediation companies and government agencies. In particular, Continental has vast experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects.

Working under the direction of the U.S Army Corps of Engineers, Continental played an important role in the development of methods for the trace analysis of explosive compounds using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). As a result, Continental has a depth of knowledge and understanding with respect to the analysis of these com-pounds that is unsurpassed in the laboratory industry.

Continental performs explosives analysis by HPLC using Method 8330 and nitroglycerine by modified 8330 and 8332. Additional analytical services offered by Continental include nitroguanidine by direct injection liquid chromatography, guanadine nitrate by ion chromatography, and nitrocellulose. Continental routinely performs these analyses on water, wastewater, sediment, soil, surface wipes, and process wastes from munitions manufacturing and ordnance destruction.

Continental is NELAP accredited, and holds certifications in Kansas and numerous other states. Our laboratory is validated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Continental participates in the American Council of Independent Laboratories Seal of Excellence program. This prestigious program recognizes laboratories that excel in terms of ethics, data integrity, and customer service. Continental is proud to be the only laboratory in the United States to be awarded the Seal of Excellence each year since the program’s inception in 1997.
