Our Company
Continental Analytical Services,
Inc. is a full service laboratory offering a wide range of
analytical services to industry, governmental agencies, municipalities
and consultants. The Laboratory is centrally located in Salina,
Kansas, and serves clients in both the Midwest region and
across the nation. Continental offers a full range of field
sampling and testing capabilities for volatile and semivolatile
organics, metals, microbial, and general chemistry parameters.
The laboratory qualifies as a small business.
The strength of our laboratory is our experienced and loyal
staff of 60 graduate scientists, experienced laboratory technicians
and support staff. Our five person leadership team alone has
over 80 years combined experience in the laboratory, engineering
and environmental consulting fields.

Recognition
Continental is the only laboratory in the United States to
be awarded the American Council of Independent Laboratories’
Seal of Excellence each year since the program’s inception
in 1997. ACIL’s Seal of Excellence Program serves as
the “Better Business Bureau” for the Environmental
Testing Industry. Applicants to the program are evaluated
annually on the accuracy of performance test results, the
content of ethics training programs, and customer service
feedback. This rigorous evaluation includes a customer feedback
survey that is sent to each applicant laboratory’s top
40 clients. An independent evaluator evaluates all program
results. In 1998, 2000, and again in 2001, Continental was
recognized as having the best overall customer feedback of
any participating laboratory.
Certifications and Accreditations
Continental participates in the EPA Water Supply (WS) and
Water Pollution (WP) Studies to maintain certifications by
the States of Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Missouri, and several
other states for the analysis of drinking water, wastewater,
and solid and hazardous waste. Continental is NELAP accredited.
The Laboratory is fully certified by
the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Missouri River Division.
