Continental was originally validated by the USACE in 1991. Continental was certified for the analysis of explosives in liquid and solid media and for multi-media analyses of GC/MS volatiles, GC/MS semivolatiles, PAHs, pesticides, PCBs, herbicides, metals, TPH, TOC and all general laboratory parameters. Continental was also one of 12 laboratories nationwide that participated in the Methods Studies for explosives performed by the USACE.
The DOD Utilizes a Quality Systems Manual based upon the TNI National Standard. Third party auditors examine the laboratory procedures, quality systems and ethics policies prior to grantin accreditation.
A side benefit of this audit is that we are now an ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory. The ISO accreditation recognizes Continental's Quality Systems and Procedures as meeting the international requirements for testing laboratories.
